Great work, I am very pleased.
by Jerrel Jones
Nov. 25, 2009
This kind of service was hard for me to find. After taking my Cello to a well known repair shop and leaving it for 17 days without them starting the repair, I brought it to Everjoy. I was promised that the repair would be done in one week. I was called in four days that the work was done, needless to say I was pleased. The new bridge, fingerboard, pegs, and tailpiece was just what was needed to give the Cello a new life. Thank you Patrick for your expert work and help. Jerrel Jones

What “sing” really means.
by Peter
Nov. 17, 2009
After playing my violin scholastically for over a decade, I stopped for some reason I cannot really explain. Before I knew it, five years had passed and I had not even opened the case. As inexplicable as were my reasons for stopping, I decided it was time to pick her up again.
Obviously new strings were a priority and I lucked out that Everjoy Music was close to my work. Patrick helped me pick out a set of strings, breaking the Dominant rut I have always been in and I asked about the tone optimization I had read about on this website. It sounded like a great merge of guidance and repair. Patrick worked with my schedule and got me an appointment within a few days.
My violin is worth far more to me than any appraisal I have heard. Although it is a great sounding instrument, the value to me was that it belonged to my Grandmother, whom I never met.
When I brought it in, it took two minutes and I was perfectly comfortable, even thankful, that it was in Patrick’s hands. He told me the history of the prior repairs as if he had read it in CarFax. He explained and demonstrated everything he believed would improve the sound and playing experience. Repairs, bows and cases all laid out so I could choose what was within my budget. However, the best part I was not prepared for. When I returned to pickup my violin, Patrick pointed out all that he had done and then left me with the instrument and went in the back of the store for a moment. I plucked a string and listened to the sound fill the room and carry on for longer than I ever thought possible. A few strokes with the bow and I just stopped to listen to it “sing.” Patrick came back in and caught me with a huge grin on my face. He understood that I had just learned what it means when an instrument truly “sings.”

Pleasantly Thrilled!

Oct. 26, 2009
Recently, I decided to learn to play the viola after having played the violin since I was a child. Being an older adult with limited time to practice, I wasn't sure it would be something I would stick with, so I didn't want to spend a lot of money on my viola. But, having owned and been very pleased with Christino violins in the past, I decided to purchase the entry level, Christino Prelude viola from Everjoy Music. I ordered it online on a Sunday, and first thing Monday morning, Patrick Tsai, the owner of Everjoy, called me to confirm my order. When my viola arrived, I was amazed at the beautifully flamed wood and perfectly applied varnish, along with the high quality craftsmanship and excellent setup. In appearance, the viola looked like a much more expensive instrument. But, when I played it right out of the case, THAT is when I was truly amazed. Even being brand new, the Prelude arrived at my door (almost) in tune, with a beautiful viola tone and playability that I really wasn't expecting from an entry level instrument. I can't say enough for this viola. I am MORE than pleased with it and the service I received from Patrick and Everjoy Music. I highly recommend Everjoy Music and the Christino line of musical instruments to everyone. I am enjoying playing my new Christino Prelude viola so much, now it's difficult finding time for my violins!

Patrick Tsai has an extensive knowledge on string instruments. His kindness is extraordinary. I've needed my violins repaired on short notice and he has stayed after shop hours to get my instrument fixed asap. He has always willingly shared his expert opinions. Thanks to Patrick I've had my bridge fixed, my violin adjusted, and my bow repaired. I can only conclude with a few adjectives to describe Patrick and his service: kind, professional, experienced, well-priced, and friendly.

A Smiling Adult Beginner!
by Cheryl F.
Feb. 25, 2009
I have longed to play the violin since childhood. On my first birthday in retirement, my husband surprised me with a violin from Everjoy! Patrick surprised me too by calling to make sure my beautiful violin was headed to the correct hands as we are currently away from home. He also made suggestions for accessories that would help me as a beginner. And finally, he called to see how "we" were doing. Patrick's personal, timely and friendly service gave me some much needed "I can do this" confidence. Although I am from another state and my husband ordered online, we felt like valued customers who come into the store often. Thanks Patrick and Everjoy Music! I love my new violin! -Cheryl

Beautiful Violin Repair!
by Candice S.
Feb. 20, 2009
I want to thank EverJoy Music for doing a beautiful job of restoring my beloved violin! I have had that violin for about twenty years (and at that time was noted to be about a hundred years old) so as you can imagine, it needed some work done. I am so pleased with it and can't thank EveryJoy Music enough!

A Jewel in Irvine!
by Darla Miller
October 3, 2008
Everjoy Music is a hidden jewel in Irvine! Better than any of the big name stores because the instruments are quality and the service is personalized! We rented a cello for our son at competitive price for a higher quality instrument and a fiberglass bow. He is so proud to bring it to school and play – plus he practices more because is sounds so beautiful! Our daughter needed accessories for her viola and the service was fantastic! We found a beautiful case, high-end bow, rosin at competitive prices. Here are my 13 year old daughter’s comments: “Fantastic service; Great quality instruments; Patrick was very helpful in helping me find the right accessories for my viola!” I’m thrilled that Everjoy is conveniently located, competitively priced and the service is exceptional!

Sounding The BEST!!!
by Albert Wu, teacher, violinist, and Executive Director of IYCA
Sept 23, 2008
As a teacher and a professional violinist, a "sound" adjustment to my instruments is crucial in my musical life. When it comes to a soundpost or bridge adjustment, Patrick Tsai is the BEST in this area in Orange County and Los Angeles. I could drive to LA to the big shops, but Patrick's work is impeccable and first-rate. He takes time with each customer, whether they are professionals or students, to ensure their instrument is sounding its best. I have taken 2 years of violinmaking at Indiana University and know great worksmanship when I see it. I highly recommend Patrick Tsai's services to anyone here who needs their instruments to sound their very best!!!!

Very Satisfied!
by satisfied customer
August 19, 2008
My family and I have been very satisfied with over 3 years of service from Everjoy music. We started with the rental option for my childrens' viola and violin instruments. We decided to stay with Everjoy since my kids were pleased with both the quality of the instruments they had chosen and the teachers they were then working with. Everjoy also has a great program where a portion of instrument rental can go towards an instrument purchase. As my son has grown he has since upgraded his viola with Everjoy and is thrilled with his new purchase. (Everjoy also has a program where part of a prior purchase can go towards a new purchase.) Both the owner and my son's teacher helped guide us through this major purchase. They really try to help you stay within your budget, yet get the best instrument possible for the ability of your musician. Everjoy is always very fair, most helpful, and patient, through all of our musical changes. My kids and I feel we can always ask questions to the owner or their teachers, and always get helpful answers. This help isn't only for questions on instruments, but also help as the kids get new pieces of music through their school orchestras, or decide to work on try out pieces for the various competitive orchestras around. At Everjoy, there is a yearly recital, but the emphasis is fun!! The kids stress out enough with their school orchestras and competitions!!
Thank you Everjoy for being there to help our kids - find the joy in music!! (The instrument, the instructor, the music, the fun!)

Restored!
by Brigid Pukszta
July 28, 2008
My violin was in much need of a sound makeover. Patrick Tsai knew exactly what my older violin needed, where other shops had failed. Patrick understood my tonal concerns and was able to diagnose the problem immediately. He described the corrective actions needed to improve the violin and made sure my expectations were realistic. The violin sings like never before. He not only improved the sound, but now the violin is easier to play and far more responsive. It is joy to play. Thank you Patrick and Everjoy.

Pleasant Encounter
by H. Huang
July 1, 2008
My first encounter with Everjoy Music is an absolute pleasant one. I brought in two violins with different ages and conditions, one nearly 150 years old with quite a few dry cracks and the other, young and tense, but not without any potential. After the owner Patrick's artful repairs and adjustments, as if went through the dramatic make-over, my two violins became so responsive and so effortless to play that they are truly singing instruments now. Instrument repair not only requires technical precision and skills, but artistic devotion. Patrick Tsai, the owner of the store, has the perfect combination of the two qualities, plus an easygoing personality. He takes time to explain in details to me why and what can and should be done to the instruments to bring their distinguished tones out. He meticulously worked on my violins without any compromises and kept me posted with the progress. He wanted the instruments to be in perfect condition as if they were his own creation; therefore, he put in extra efforts and his charge is very reasonable. His work ethics is highly commendable and won my ultimate admiration. I don't have any reservation to recommend him to anyone who is looking for trustworthy services.

My experience doing business with Everjoy Music has been a very positive; includes utilizing their expert repair services and the recent purchase of a violin bestowed with an astonishing tone. As a professional musician, I have dealt with a wide range of music vendors over the past several years. In contrast to the vast majority, the customer service I received at Everjoy Music was courteous, professional and delivered with a personal touch throughout. Their work is guided by integrity and passion and has my highest recommendation.

Highly Recommend!!!

October 12, 2007
I went to Everjoy Music because I needed some true guidance in choosing the right violin for my needs. I had been renting a violin from another music store and after changing the instrument 3 different times decided to try Everjoy Music. From the moment I walked into the store I knew that it was a specialty music store and noticed the quality of the instruments that were displayed. I expressed my frustration and disappointment that I had gone through the last year in trying to find the right violin within my budget. I was treated with professionalism and was led to the perfect violin for my needs. In addition I signed up for a few music lessons and my instructor was great! I am now practicing daily and really feel like I am on track. As a musician, I highly recommend Everjoy Music. They are a true full-service, professional, friendly, honest shop and it feels like family when I go for lessons or just to call and say hello. They are genuinely interested in each and every person's success and they encourage ways to bring out the best in musical talent.

I had my daughter's violin repaired here at Everjoy and the whole experience was completely satisfying. Mr. Tsai takes the job very seriously and with extreme care as well. I was very happy with the outcome and I put a trust in him whenever I have problems concerning my daughter's violin whether it is repair, parts, books or personal recommendations.
Mr. Tsai changes the strings for me at no extra charge and I really appreciate his kindness. I can always count on him. Thank you Mr. Tsai!

This is the BEST place for the instruments and everything else!
by Cello mom
September 10, 2007
Our experience with Everjoy has been beyond wonderful.
There are so many choices to choose from, when you are shopping for the instruments. The price is very reasonable, and the service is not only professional but, you feel so welcome and cared for. This place will work with you on the very personal level, and we have been so blessed to have found Everjoy. The owner Mr. Tsai is not there just for the business because he makes sure you are satisfied before you walk out of the store. To my children, he is not Mr. Tsai, but Uncle Tsai! We are going to visit Everjoy for our third cello and we will be going back for even many more years. We are so grateful for Mr. Tsai and Everjoy, from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you!!

Fabulous Repair/Refurbishment!
by Professional Violist
June 01, 2006
I purchased an old viola and bow on Ebay to use for outdoor gigs and took both to Everjoy Music for evaluation and repair/refurbishment. Now the bow is nicer than any I've had over the past 30 years, and I have a feeling I'll be using the viola as my main gig instrument and putting my Mittenwald into the closet! What I love about Patrick is that he is honest and willing to work with any level of instrument & definitely not an instrument snob. He spent hours upgrading, refurbishing and improving the sound on the viola and it sounds fabulous. I also bought a really nice viola case. Thanks, Patrick!

I am very impressed with the work done to my violin. I had not played my violin for over ten years. I took it to Everjoy for a
complete make-over, and the difference in sound quality is amazing! I am pleased every time I play my violin. The pricing is very reasonable, they are very knowledgable, trustworthy, and the service is the best I have received in Orange County. I go back regularly now whenever I need
anything for my violin.

Spacious studio, good stock of instruments & accessories
by Violin Enthusiast
November 01, 2005
As a violinist, I can usually find whatever I need at Everjoy Music. The store stocks just about every brand of string I've ever heard of, as well as other accessories such as shoulder rests, metronomes, cases, etc. The shop also has a wide selection of instruments and bows; I've bought a few violin bows there, a violin and a case and have been very happy with them. What really sets this store apart from the others is its large square footage. There is plenty of retail area and several individual music rooms on the upper floor. The entire studio is very spacious, very clean and bright. It's a joy to visit and to talk violins with the owner. Although he's not a violinmaker per se, he has excellent knowledge of stringed instruments and is a violinist himself. He does do tonal adjustments, and I've had my violin tone adjusted by him several times. I visit Everjoy Music for all my violin needs or whenever I feel like talking music with a fellow violin lover. I highly recommend this shop.

Pros: great service
When my child started learning cello in fourth grade, Everjoy was the place we found everything we needed - instrument, case, music, CDs, music stand, rosin, and even private lessons. We bought our first student grade cello there. When the time came to change to a larger size, they let us trade in for a better grade one. Their service made the transition an easy and smooth experience. They provide many choices regarding quality and price ranges. A good store to visit for string instruments.

Pros: Great rental program
Everjoy has a great instrument rental program for students in the Orange County. When my child was in 5th grade, I rented the cello for 6 months then decided to buy, they credited 6 month payment toward the purchase price of the cello. After 6th grade she decided to discontinue with cello, I was able to sell it with a reasonable price. Everjoy not only has good rental program but also has quality instruments with great value.

March 16, 2005
Pros: Friendly and good quality services and reasonal prices.
Everjoy Music is a small neighborhood music studio. But it has a lot of good quality violins and cellos to select from. I bought a violin for my older son and a cello for my younger son two years ago. Since then, we have received very friendly and pompt services from the store owner, Patrick Tsai, whenever we have any problems with violin and cello. This store owner is very knowledgeable on all string instruments and is also very dedicated when fixing a string instrument. The most important thing is this store is nearby and owner is very easy to deal with.
